Description

This has proved to be a very popular multi-chine cruising design for the long distance liveaboard. The original accommodation is two plus two in separate private cabins plus social/ work areas between. The bermudan schooner rig has proved to be very easy to handle, even alone. Almost all Turannas, built to date have been lived on, some for several years, and they have roamed worldwide. Able to cruise almost anywhere at the drop of a mooring. Turanna features generous headroom throughout (including 2.13m (7 ft) in the Saloon which is some 4.25m (14 ft.) square on two levels), even in the walk-through below the cockpit and with exception of the Saloon there is little change in sole levels. The Owner’s Suite includes a large toilet and separate shower compartment with above average stowage. The remainder is generously proportioned for luxurious living anywhere where she can be anchored. Although essentially a sailing boat, most Turanna’s have a six cylinder 100 hp + diesel and generation facilities in excess of 6 KVA thus she could be a one fuel boat. Extensive tankage in keel and wing tanks give a good range (900 NM) under power with a more than adequate water supply. A boat recommended for the long distance cruising yachtsman with time on his hands.
