Designed as a modern centreboard, family cruising boat of simple double chine construction. Four berths, a decent galley and a reasonable supply of dry stowage (plus wet locker) appoint the interior; a large, deep, safe cockpit, with wide side decks, outboard engine well and transom hung rudder, sum-up the externals. A moderate sailplan with all controls led to the cockpit. Axis would perform well as a Club Cruiser/racer yet those longer voyages could be considered in safety and comfort. Designed to sit upright when dried out.
