Carina 62 was originally designed as the largest vessel to be moved out of Rochdale, Lancashire Cby road. The first vessel, Emma Louise, was built in Rochdale, launched in Glasson Dock, and subsequently sailed for Gibralter and the Greek Islands. Carina 62 is a moderate displacement ketch rigged motor sailer designed to be handled by a small crew. Ideal for general cruising or for charter work; she features a captains cabin aft, twin guest cabins forward, all en-suite and communal areas and passageway between. She has twin engines in twin engine rooms for ease of manouvreability in confined marinas or anchorages plus generator, etc.. On deck is a large cockpit partly sheltered against rain or sun which can be enclosed using a pram hood arrangement; plus plenty of lounging area. The stern platform is capable of taking up to 5m RIB or other toy. Available with either single long keel or triple keel arrangement The RENEGADE series are round bilge aluminium or steel, fast, round bilge, medium displacement sailing cruisers characterised by their sailing balance; i.e. On the first sail of the first 37’s the steering failed, the owner being very experienced then sailed quite happily for a further 3 days by using sail trim only; quite a feat.
